Amazing Heroes was a popular fanzine in the 1980s and 1990s that was published twice a month.They also produced an annual Swimsuit issue as a tribute to the one published by Sports Illustrated. Instead of photos of beautiful females models, this one featured pin-ups of various comic book characters wearing bathing suits. Mark Hempel first became known as a comic book artist in the 1980s for his work on First Comics' Mars. He then worked on his own creation, Gregory.
